Triathlon England Eastern Region Duathlon Cross
For 2014 we are back at St Helen's in Thetford Forest for our successful Off Road Duathlon. The course uses all the best aspects of the Thetford trails both for the bike and the run creating a two 9 km lap mountain bike loop and a 5km trail run which you can complete individually or as part of a 2 man relay team. You will be tested on woodland trails as well as across open and single forest tracks.
The 2013 Thetford Duathlon qualified as a Triathlon England Eastern region Cross League race. See www.triathlonengland.org/east for more information.
Full course: Run 5k Bike 18k Run 5k.
Duathlon Relay: Team consists of 2 athletes, 1 Runner (completes 2 legs) & 1 Biker.

When: Registration 08.30 - 10.30 16th March 2014. Start 11.00.
Entry Fee: £36.00. (individual BTF member). £52.00. (relay team).
There is an additional charge of £4.00 for Duathletes who are not BTF members to cover a day race license and personal insurance.
Parking: There is plenty of free parking on hard ground within the area around transition.
What to wear: Bike helmets are mandatory.
Course: 9km Bike route (GPS bike route map). 5km Run route (GPS run route map)
First Aid: St Johns Ambulence crew will be on standby throughout the event.
Toilets: There is a toilet block close to transition/registration, plus additional portaloo facilities.
Drinks & Refreshments: There is a Gu aid station on the running loop and the exit to transition providing water and energy suppliments. Tea, coffee and the famous Go Beyond cake will be available to all competitors and spectators for a charitable donation.
Massage: For all athletes is on a donation basis provided by Phil and his team from The Extreme Sports Therapy Unit, City College, Norwich.
Don't forget: Mountain-bike, bike helmet, running shoes and it is your responsibility to ensure that your MTB is mechanically sound and race ready.
