Country park running at its best
Set in the grounds of an historic 14th century Abbey with close proximity via Junction 15 to the M1, a picturesque flat course and an inspiring finish in the shadow of Delapre Abbey making a terrific backdrop for the Delapre Half Marathon.
Views across Delapre lake and lapping through the historical gardens delivers a race with picturesque scenery and the atmosphere created by the lap format make this a must race addition to the running calendar.
Where: The race is located at Delapre Abbey, Northampton for directions click here. The Race HQ is situated close to the car park in front of the Abbey.
When: On Sunday 20th April, 2014. Registration will open from 08.30.
Entry Fees: Half Marathon: £21.00.
Parking: There is ample off road parking in the park close to the start.
Toilets: Available at Delepre Abbey close to the start both before and after the race. Changing facilities are limited.
Course: The course has been rerouted due to the exceptionally wet and muddy conditions around the lake, whilst maintaining frequently changing scenery, some lovely trails and frequently changing scenery. For the course map click here.
Drinks & Refreshments: There will be a Gu aid station in the start finish area providing water, Gu energy gels and jelly babies.
Race Goodies: Commemorative kit bag will be awarded to all finishers plus race medals to all finishers of the half and full Marathon races.
Massage: Sports massage will be available for a small fee after the race.
